Target BPM

Not every square dance group prefers to dance at the same speed.

While Club A at 128 beats per minute Club B, feeling comfortable, might need a slightly calmer pace. 124 BPM. At the same time, of course, not all your songs were recorded at the same speed: some are a little faster, others slower.

Previously, you had to adjust the settings for each song individually. With the new... Target BPM Feature The caller's caddy will now automatically take care of that for you.

Different songs, consistent dance tempo

Callers Caddy has long allowed you to temporarily change the tempo of a song. You speed it up or slow it down using a plus/minus value or a factor – without altering the original file and without changing the pitch.

This works very well. However, until now you had to manually adjust the settings for each song.

And this is exactly where it comes in Target BPM into the game.

Set the target pace for each club

In your location settings, you can now... Target BPM number deposit.

For example:

  • Club A dances with 128 BPM
  • Club B dances with 124 BPM
  • A third group is given its own appropriate target pace.

As soon as you play a song at a location, the Callers Caddy automatically calculates how much its original tempo needs to be adjusted. The temporary speed is then set so that the song reaches the specified target BPM.

So you no longer have to think about every song:

„"How much faster or slower do I need to set this song?"“

The caller's caddy will do that for you.

One song – different speeds

What's particularly convenient is that the setting depends on the location.

The same song can therefore automatically be played at Club A with 128 BPM and at Club B with 124 BPM The music file itself will be played. The music file remains unchanged. You don't need to create multiple versions of a song or permanently re-encode your music collection.

This allows you to precisely adjust the tempo to the needs of your respective group while still using your entire music flexibly.

More consistency on the dance floor

With Target BPM, you achieve a more consistent base tempo throughout the entire evening – regardless of the speed at which the individual songs were originally recorded.

This means for you:

  • less manual readjustment
  • a suitable pace for each group
  • more consistent speed throughout the dance evening
  • no additional song versions
  • more focus on your calling and the dancers

A small feature that saves you many individual steps while you're on a call.

I hope that Target BPM Makes your life as a caller a little bit easier again.
