Rules for the Break Clock

Break is over. You're still holding the coffee. And the next song isn't loaded.

Starting from version 0.160, Rules can respond to the break timer. You set it up once, and then it happens automatically.

Two new triggers

  • Break Started fires when the break timer starts fresh, via button, rule action, or with waiting music.
  • Break Finished fires when the countdown reaches 0.

Additionally, there's the condition Break Type. It distinguishes whether the break was started with or without waiting music.

An example

Break is over, the prepared next song starts:

  • Trigger: Break Finished
  • Action: Play

If waiting music is still playing when the time runs out, the Callers Caddy will end it beforehand. If you start a song yourself during the break, the break ends with that. The rule will then consciously not fire because the break was interrupted and not completed.

Here's how to set up the rule

Open the Rule Editor, create a new rule, and select „Break Finished“ as the trigger. How rules are structured is also shown to you by Give Me 20 More Seconds!.

How long are the breaks in your club: 5, 10, or 15 minutes?
